If, in the Device information page, you see that your firmware is out of date, or in other words if the version numbers appear in red as shown in image II below, you are going to have to update the firmware on the device. In order to make the over-the-air (OTA) firmware update, follow these steps:
Press the concentric squares in the bottom left corner of the Device screen, as shown in image I, to navigate to the information page.
If you have not yet added the device to your account, you will see a smaller Device information page with a "+" icon in the bottom right corner, as shown in image II. Tap the "+" to add the Device to your account. If you have already added the Device to your account, you will see the larger Device information page shown in image III.
On the Device information page in image III, tap the version number (1.0.0 in image II) to go to the firmware version page, shown in image IV.
Once on the firmware version page, you can compare the version you have running on your Device ("hardware") against the most up-to-date version ("current"). If the two do not match, go ahead and input your wifi information (name and password - caps sensitive) and IF Magic account password (the same one you used to sign into the app), and press the update button on the bottom of the page. Your Device may disconnect and reconnect as the update triggers a reboot.
Reconnect to the Device and follow step 1 again to see the Device information, and check that the hardware version has been updated.
