Setting a module

When you connect to the Device, you will see a screen like the one in figure I, with all of the icons greyed out. This screen should last a couple seconds while the connection is established.
Once connected, the port icons (circles) will turn red, the power icon (battery) will turn green / yellow / red, and the other icons may also take on color, as shown in image II below.
In order to set a port to a module, tap on the port’s icon. In the top right corner, you will see the port number to confirm you have the right port, as shown in image III. For a refresher on which port is which on the Device, see Device basics. You can also hold down on a port icon to pull up the module menu directly.
In the bottom left corner, tap the “modules” icon to see which modules are available on this port. This will open the modules menu, shown in image IV. Note that not all modules can go in each port - to see what ports a module can fit in, see the section on Plugging in a Module.
Make sure your module (e.g., light sensor) is plugged into the appropriate port and tap the module icon to see the data coming in from that module. Most modules have multiple data visualizations that you can swipe through, as shown in the GIF below. To see more about each module, see the modules section of the documentation.
